Mark: Yeah, a parking ticket is a different animal and that one leaves no consequences to your driver’s record. Once you pay it, there’s not going to be a permanent record of the infraction.
It’s not reported to the DMV. There are no long-term consequences, only the short-term consequence of having to pay a small fine.
Interviewer: You just brought up a good point. When you are being pulled over, the police can pull up your total traffic ticket history in their computer before they walk up to your car?
Mark: Yes.
Interviewer: Is that literally what they do? What happens as you’re sitting there for the minute or two before they walk up?
